Venice is the capital of the Veneto region, which is in the north-east of Italy. Established in the 10th century as a refuge for the mainland inhabitants escaping attacks from the mountains, Venice was constructed on 118 small islands in the lagoon separated by 150 canals. While we are in Venice, you will have personalized tours and entrances to most of the famous historical locations inclusive of the Basilica San Marco, the Doges Palace, the San Marco Bell Tower, the Basilica dei Frari, Santo Stefano, the Vivaldi Instrument Museum, and the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. You will also have a guided tour of the island of Burano and Torcello, including a personalized visit to the famous Franciscan monastery on Isola del Deserto. We will also have several group dinners including one at the Michelin starred seafood restaurant Al Gatto Nero in Burano and a sunset 5-course dinner cruise on a replica of a typical Venetian Galleon ship. |
